Community Care

Do you have a heart to care for others in need?  Volunteers in Community Care provide help and support to our NorthRidge family as they deal with individual and family challenges.  We need volunteers who show God’s love through providing compassion and care whether it is serving on our Hospital Team, visiting our Homebound, assisting in our Food Drive and other serving opportunities.
  • Annual Food Drive: Our annual fall Food Drive needs volunteers for a host of functions: Gathering food; loading trucks; etc. Volunteers are recruited August – October annually. Time commitment can be minimal. This church wide event helps us to fill several local food pantries as well as stock our own Gift Certificate program for regular attendees and members of NorthRidge who are in need.

  • Helping Hands: Volunteers provide minor home and car repair to families in our church with limited resources. If you’d be willing to donate your time to assist others we can use your hands and heart. Volunteering is based on your availability and type of experience.

  • Homebound Ministry: Volunteers are needed to help extend the love, comfort and compassion of Christ to those in our church family who are temporarily or permanently homebound. Opportunities include home visitation and letter writing.

  • Hospital Visitation: Volunteers are needed to visit people who are part of our NorthRidge family when they are hospitalized. We provide encouragement, personal support and prayer. Generally, individuals are assigned to visit hospitals close to their residence once members are admitted. This is a great way to show God’s love to others and to their families as well.
