Hot Opportunities

These are areas where our ministries have immediate need for volunteers. You can sign-up or request more information for one of these opportunities by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking the "Sign-up" button. Check back monthly for new postings!

  • Campus Operations - Plymouth: Are you looking to take ownership and give back to the church? Willing to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done? Help us clean the campus whenever it's convenient for you! (anytime, Mon - Sun, 7a - 10p) Perfect for individuals, couples, small groups and families! We look forward to serving with you!

  • Community Garden: Come join us at the Community Garden and be a part of a real "hands-on" ministry! Our garden provides fruits and vegetables to local food banks that help feed people in need. Summer garden maintenance and harvesting is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6p-8:30p.

  • Divorce Care 4 Kids - Plymouth: DC4K Facilitators have a desire to meet with and offer support in a group setting for children ages 8 – 12 who are experiencing divorce in their families. Groups meet weekly for approximately 2hours. Curriculum is provided and facilitators are required to complete a 10-week New Volunteer Training.

  • Elementary Small Group Leader - Howell: Small Group Leaders build relationships with a group of 6 to 10 children. They help the kids apply biblical principles to their everyday lives and they pray for and with the children in their group. This is an every other week commitment for 2 hours.

  • Information Technologies: Are you a behind the scenes kind of person? When you think of "networking" do you think of computers instead of people? Do you have as much enthusiasm for God as you do for technology? If your answer is yes, then we want to talk to you!

  • K/1 Small Group Leader - Saline: Life is too difficult to go it alone, even for kids. Small Group Leaders build relationships with a group of 6 to 10 children. They help the kids apply biblical principles to their everyday lives and they pray for and with the children in their group. Community happens even with a group of 5 year-olds!

  • Load In/Out Team - Saline: If you are interested in being a vital part of the NorthRidge Saline Campus, join our Load In/Out Team. We have two opportunities for you to choose from: If you are a morning person, the Load In Team could use your help unloading our satellite trailers before service. The Load Out Team, for those of you who like to sleep in, helps reload the trailers after service. Either way, if you like to work behind the scenes we have a spot for you!

  • MOPPETS Volunteer - Plymouth: We are looking for dedicated MOPPETS volunteers to provide care to each child during the MOPS meeting. Children love attending our MOPPETS program. It is designed to be a safe, loving and creative place where children can have fun while Mom receives a needed break. MOPS meets the 1st & 3rd Thursday mornings beginning September 16th through May from 9:15a-11:30a.

  • Network & Tech Support - Howell: We are looking for some tech-savvy volunteers to assist with setup and networking of internet connections, check-in kiosks, and POS systems on Sundays at our upcoming Brighton/Howell campus. You don't have to be an IT expert...we only require that you have a servants heart and a little experience with wiring and computers.

  • Preschool Room Support - Howell: Be part of a team that provides support to Small Group Leaders and Coaches, connects kids with their small group, and helps make it the best 90 minutes of a kid's week. This is an every other week commitment for 1.5 hours.

  • Prison Ministry: NorthRidge is committed to ministering with compassion to the hurting, lonely, rejected, and forgotten. Our Prison Ministry seeks to live out this value by ministering to inmates via one-on-one visits, pen-pal correspondence, monthly church services at the prison, and much more. If you would like to be a part of this ministry you can sign-up for the next Prison Ministry training on August 21 by following this link: Prison Ministry Training.
