Lighthouse Home Mission

The Lighthouse Home Mission is a community outreach that feeds and clothes people in need. It is involved with several helpful organizations, such as The Hunger Action Coalition, Operation Can-Do, Gleaners Community Food Bank, The Family Independence Agency, and the Westland and Inkster Police and Fire Departments. The mission feeds and provides clothing to over 10,000 people each year.

Lighthouse’s goal is to help the indigent take on life in society with new vigor, to help them find the means to clothe and feed themselves, and to provide listings and referrals to agencies that provide various counseling services. Their primary focus is the desire to be a hand-up, not a handout.
